She has always had a love for animals since a young age. In 2015 she decided to take the first step toward making her passion for dogs a career. She began by educating herself on canine behavior and participating in training classes with her own dog, focusing on leash reactivity towards other dogs. She took her talents to PetSafe Village in late 2015 and began training dogs professionally. Following this step in her career, in early 2017, she joined a franchise where she sharpened her skills training dogs.  After four years of learning and training she decided to open her own business with her husband Will, Top Notch Canine! She specializes in Rally Obedience, Basic Obedience, Off Leash Obedience and Canine Good Citizen Classes. Her favorite aspect of dog training is helping people be able to include their animals in even more parts of their lives, and the joy that it brings their owners.

Will served in the Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment until 2015. While there he completed: OSUT, Airborne School, RASP, Ranger School, and 3 rotations to Afghanistan. During Will’s time in the 75th Ranger Regiment, he developed a keen interest for watching the dogs on missions with them as the dogs worked. These very versatile, dual purpose dogs are able to help Rangers on their missions with everything from route clearance to detaining suspects. That small bit of intrigue was a seed that followed him as he left the military and got his first German Shepherd, Duke. Duke came into his life in 2015 like a wrecking ball. Although Duke was an amazing running buddy, he needed a lot of help being trained. Will began taking classes with Duke and eventually met Reagan. She had a passion for dogs just like him. Reagan was training dogs professionally at the time, and Will began to learn from her and help her with her training. He soon realized that this passion for training dogs might actually be able to be a career. Since then Will has been working to build his skills as a dog trainer, and continues to strive to always be a student of dog training. He attends as many seminars and continued learning opportunities as he can each year. Will currently is working towards his new puppy Lace’s PDC. His interests include: PSA, odor detection, and dock diving.

Emily discovered her natural joy of working with animals during her first position at Murphy’s Paw in Stratford, CT.  The position allowed her to work with dogs every day and she fell in love. She then set herself the goal of working as a groomer, trainer, or in the animal care field.  After making the big but wonderful life change of moving to Tennessee she rescued  her two dogs: Duke,a great dane, and Littles, a terrier mix.  Emily now knew the animal welfare industry was her calling.
Since being a prior shelter employee and seeing all the owners surrender dogs due to behavioral issues, she's been inspired to help improve the owner dog relationship. With the help of Top Notch Canine, Emily is now in a position to work as a trainer. She is very excited to help your canine companion be the best dog they can be!

Libby has been a lover of animals her whole life. Dogs have always been a part of her family. At age 15 she began working at a farm where she eventually began training horses and teaching riding lessons. Eventually, as her family grew, she stepped away from the horse world to focus on her kids at home. She now coaches gymnastics and teaches boot camp fitness classes. But her real passion is enjoying the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee and the surrounding areas with her two dogs, Mera and Banner. They love to go on long day hikes and multi day backpacking trips. She also enjoys the sport of canicross with her dog Mera. They have participated in many trail runs together. As her kids are getting older, she’s excited for the opportunity to further educate herself on dog behavior and is excited to partner with Top Notch Canine to help people and dogs live their best life together.
